What happens to the others?

Individualism has affected our ways of interaction, therefore, it seems that we are not willing to move unless it directly impacts our private interests. We have become monolithic, inert and passive beings in the spaces, without reaction or action before what does not affect our rough crust.
We grew up with the imperative need to do for Big Brother, neglecting our affective relationships.

When was the last time we hugged without the birthday of someone you know?At what point do we stop doing for ourselves and start producing for a call?

Let’s be corny, because we know that art cannot change the world, but it can change consciences and affections from the act of “doing-something”. Let us do from our guts, take us by the hands and remove ourselves from the pain. Because there is no greater act of rebellion than dropping our entire body to the thorns of the rose bush.

This is why, from art, we meet as strangers, and maybe we ́re still strangers, but we started seeing each other as a group, finding subjects (and subjectives) in common, attacking the problematic we all have found and try to develop some kind of synergy with our differences to make something impactful, identify ourselves and merge our ways of seeing life, to finally
express them in the projects that we ́re presenting. We used our bodies as tools, to demonstrate that we can get closer to each other without having to interact through talking.

So what did we do? We connected in a sort of way with different people.
Using the art as a possibility to be united. The art as a discursive tool to build spaces for sensitive approachments.

We grew up to live in a giant museum, where we are not allow to run, to touch, to talk and to speak out loud.

That’s why we did a critic to the passive way of thinking within our everyday life. We were interested in the social behavior within the society, and the different norms between different cultures (Mexico and Finland), cause we live in a constant state of oppression and repression: the problematics are the passive and conservative way of thinking and acting, and the lack of connections and being present.

As art students, we propose to search and find dissidents ways to bring people together, cause we believe that not everything has to be spectacular to impact in the others. That ́s why we did three simple and easy performances. May look easy to do, but touch and hug the others is an act of disobey in times of hating.
